Lakeland will host its annual Small Business Symposium Friday, June 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094. The $25 per person fee includes all programs and materials, continental breakfast, lunch, keynote lecture, and networking.
Former Ohio State University coach, Jim Tressel, will present the keynote lecture. With 25 years of head coaching experience and the author of two motivational books, he will share his perspective on what it means to be successful. Tressel was recently named president of Youngstown State University.
Symposium participants will be able to choose from four program tracks including: Marketing & Sales, Finance & Operations, Human Resources and Women in Business.
The day’s agenda includes:

-Opening Speaker – Nationally acclaimed sales training professional Marvin Montgomery “Power of Attitude in Business”
-Lunch & Keynote with Jim Tressel –“Talent is Not Enough”
The program is presented in partnership with Lakeland’s Entrepreneurship and Ohio Small Business Development Centers, the Lake County Port and Economic Development Authority, Ohio Small Business Development Centers, the office of Congressman Dave Joyce, the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), Maloney & Novotny LLC, the Mentor Economic Assistance Corporation (MEACO), the Lake County Development Council, Lake Communicators, Spirit Media and WINT 1330AM.
