The Lakeland Nonprofit and Public Service Center will host “The World of Corporate Giving” Tuesday, March 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the college's main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, 44094, in Building A, room A-2100.

Featured presenters will include Barry Doggett, senior vice president, public and community affairs, Eaton; Dave Enzerra, president, The Lubrizol Foundation; John Gest, director, northeast Ohio office and statewide corporate services, Philanthropy Ohio; David Holmes, acting director of the Foundation Center –Cleveland; and Maria Spangler, director, community engagement, The Sherwin-Williams Company.
This session will help participants understand the motivations for corporate giving and learn how to match their organization’s needs with the interests of a corporation, identify prospective donors, and create partnerships with companies. Presenters will also clarify the differences between direct corporate giving programs and company-sponsored foundations, explain how this distinction should influence a nonprofit's approach to seeking corporate support, and share their tips for success.
