Lakeland Music Department and the Fine Arts Association will present College Music Night on Tuesday, February 18 at 7 p.m. at the Fine Arts Association, 38660 Mentor Avenue, in Willoughby.

This free, hour-long event is for students in grades 9-12 and their parents and will be an informational presentation on the opportunities and challenges faced by music students at the college level. Topics covered will include scholarships, types of college and university music programs, whether a student should pursue a degree in music, college auditions, Post-Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) opportunities for music students, and employment prospects for music majors. Presenters will be available to answer specific questions following the presentation.

Interested students and their parents should R.S.V.P. to the Fine Arts Association at 440-951-7500.

Lakeland Community College and the Fine Arts Association partner to offer private music instruction for college credit to any Lakeland student, and both organizations are dedicated to promoting the arts and culture of Northeast Ohio.
