The Fine Arts Gallery at Lakeland has announced the winners of the 2012 Visual Arts Student exhibit. The exhibit will run through May 3. Sixty-two artists entered 213 pieces and
51 artists were accepted and showed 109 artworks in the Fine Arts Category.

About the Jurors
Catherine Butler is an internationally recognized jewelry artist who lives and works in Cleveland Heights, OH. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, Butler has run her own production studio, been an adjunct professor at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, overseen education programming at Heights Arts (Cleveland Heights), and juried a number of art fairs and exhibitions. She currently teaches art at Laurel School. Her works can be found in the collections of die Neue Sammlung Staatliches Museum fur angewandte Kunst, “Design in Pinakothek der Moderne”, Munich, Germany, the Ohio Craft Museum in Columbus, Ohio. People through the USA and the world wear her jewelry.
Stanka Kordic is an internationally recognized, and award winning professional fine artist. A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, she has also worked as a commercial illustrator, and a commissioned portrait artist. Kordic’s work is included in a number of corporate collections throughout the Midwest, including Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and Key Bank. Her extensive private collector list spans the U.S., crossing the ocean to England and Croatia. She continues to work from life and her own source materials as she studies the figure in many different environments, integrating elements of abstraction with realism. She also serves as artist in residence at Beaumont School in Cleveland Heights.
The Fine Arts Gallery hours are Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
