Lakeland has partnered with the Lincoln Electric Automation Division in Mentor to develop a new two-year degree option in electronic engineering technology with a field internship at the Mentor plant. An open house to learn more is slated for November 10.
Students can participate in an internship held on-site at the Lincoln Electric Automation Division Services School. The eight-week field internship may count as a technical elective as part of the Electronic Engineering Technology Associate Degree program at Lakeland.
Students will gain hands-on experience in robotic welding systems, robotic maintenance and repair, and co-op education opportunities. Lincoln's systems are used in a wide variety of manufacturing operations, such as automotive, and construction (buildings, pipe lines, etc.).
The program is for anyone regardless of whether they are straight out of high school or starting a new career. Individuals who like and are good at mathematics and are interested in solving complex technical problems are encouraged to learn more at the open house.
For information and to RSVP for the open house on November 10, call 440-525-7303 or e-mail cmoss@lakelandcc.edu by November 4. Seating is limited.
