The Lakeland Men’s Resource Center is hosting a series of workshops to help individuals in the job search process. Lakeland’s Job Shop Speaker Program assists unemployed professionals or any active job seeker in finding employment. Meetings take place every second and fourth Monday of each month from 9 – 11 a.m. in room A – 1044g. It is located on Lakeland’s campus and features some of the top employment experts from Northeast Ohio. Each program is free and open to the general public and drop-ins are welcome.

Presented by Dave Roberts, an executive outplacement consultant and a resume specialist. Roberts will share tips on how to use a resume to get the interview.
Monday, November 23
“Do You Have an Escalator Speech?” and
“Top 10 Networking Tips”
Presented by Wendy Schwarz, international marketing consultant known as the “Goddess of Networking.” Schwarz will focus on how to hone an effective self-introduction for job seekers and share essential networking tips.
Monday, December 7
“Job Hunting Secrets in a Down Economy”
Presented by Tim Daunch, senior consultant for SAP Software. Daunch will detail and share how his background in technology led him to develop a unique job search strategy.
Monday, December 14
“Designing a Creative Job Search Package”
Presented by Randy Jeffries, outplacement coordinator at Lakeland Community College’s Men’s Resource Center. Jeffries will describe unusual ways a job seeker can package and present as a product.
