Lakeland Community College now offers a free community paper recycling program located in the west parking lot.

The program is run by the AbitibiBowater Paper Retriever Program. AbitibiBowater is the largest recycler of newspapers and magazines in North America program designed to benefit the environment and community. The organization is a global leader in the manufacturing of newsprint and is the nation’s largest newspaper and magazine recycler.

Accepted items include: newspapers, magazines, shopping catalogs, junk mail, office & school papers, and white envelopes (with and without windows).

Non – Accepted Items: cardboard, cereal / soda cartons, food wrap/ containers, tissue products, phone books, plastic, and glass.
