With many health care jobs in demand, Lakeland Community College is offering a new, semester-long healthcare program to individuals who are unsure which of the many healthcare career options to pursue.
Classes will be held on Mondays and Fridays 10 am - 12 noon (days), or Mondays and Wednesdays 6 - 8 pm (evenings).
Classes this fall include:
• Medical Terminology – Basis course for all Lakeland medical programs (2 credits).
• Introduction to Health Careers – This course gives students an overview of all health careers, job outlooks, and a first-hand look into Lakeland’s own health education programs.
• Support Workshops – Participants will create a supportive “buddy system,” bonded by similar experiences in the pursuit of the right career.
