Lakeland Community College is hosting a free college seminar designed for recent high school graduates with disabilities who are transitioning to college on Wednesday, July 22 from 7 - 9 p.m. in room H-101. Parents or guardians are encouraged to attend.

Lakeland’s Office of Services for Students with Disabilities will have staff available to answer questions. Students with physical, psychological, or learning disabilities are encouraged to attend.

Students will learn how to: Study to achieve better testing results, use a daily planner more effectively to avoid procrastination, and prepare for a lecture to get the most out of a class.

Parents of disabled students will learn: What is expected of the college student, what services and accommodations are available, and study skills that they can reinforce at home.
