With many nonprofits struggling to weather current economic times, the Lakeland Community College Nonprofit and Public Service Center has assembled a group of leading experts to help organizations learn how to set priorities, make their case, stay positive, and keep moving forward.
“Fundraising in Today’s Economic Climate” is slated for Thursday, June 25 from 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. on the College's main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, 44094. Networking and sign-in begin at 8 a.m.
Experts in philanthropy and development will offer solid information and thoughtful perspectives on giving and fundraising under these conditions and will share their ideas on how best to approach individuals, corporations, and foundations in the current environment.
Featured presenters will be Cynthia Bailie, director of the Foundation Center - Cleveland, and Carol Carbary, president of the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Carbary also serves as director of college development and alumni relations at the Cleveland State University College of Science.
Panelists include: Ann Fairhurst, Lake-Geauga Officer of The Cleveland Foundation; Sunny Masters, executive director, Lake Health Foundation; Ed Mayer, director of development, Crossroads; Jack Sherwin, philanthropist, fundraiser, and executive-in-residence for The Lakeland Foundation.
