Lakeland Community College will host a small business symposium, “Road to Recovery – Learn from the Experts,” on Wednesday, June 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center on the main college campus.
The cost to attend this event is $10 per person. Participants will earn 3.5 CPE’s through the Cleveland East Chapter of IMA (Institute of Management Accountants).
John Ryan, state director of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, will kick off the half-day event with opening remarks.
“Small businesses create 75 percent of new jobs. From service-orientated businesses to small manufactures, a small business is often the heartbeat of the community. It is imperative that the federal government encourage growth of this vital economic engine in Ohio,” said U.S Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
A panel of experts from government entities and financial institutions will be sharing information on resources available for small businesses on such topics as: Accessing Capital for a Recovery Economy, Capitalizing on Government contracts, Managing Your Balance Sheet for Recovery, and the Ten Keys to Success During and After A Down Economy.
