Transition from high school to college made easier Lakeland Community College Tech Prep Consortium has announced the 2009 College Tech Prep Scholarship recipients. Lakeland’s Tech Prep scholarship awards $2,000 to students who continue their post-secondary education at Lakeland Community College. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 submit a letter of recommendation and a high school transcript. Beginning in eleventh grade, the students began to focus on an area of study in a technical field.
