Lakeland Community College is hosting a Massage Therapy open house on Tuesday, April 21 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the college’s Athletic & Fitness Center in room Y-22. The open house is free and open to the public; RSVP not necessary. “Massage therapy is about more than just relaxation,” said Program Coordinator Jennie O’ Connor. “There are methods used in massage that are medically therapeutic.” She adds that Lakeland’s massage therapy program is accredited through the State Medical Board of Ohio. Participants will learn about career opportunities in massage therapy and speak with licensed massage therapists as well as current students.
