Lakeland Community College announces the lineup for its 34th annual Management Lecture Series beginning Tuesday, March 24 from 7:15-8:15 p.m. in Building H, Room 101, on the Lakeland campus.
For over three decades, managers who have led many of northeast Ohio's most prominent businesses and institutions have appeared on this series. They share their success stories, strategies, business outlooks, and career opportunities with Lakeland students and the general public in this forum. The event is free and open to the public. This year's Management Lecture Series began with two speakers in fall 2008 and continues with three speakers this semester.

Steve Kirk, Chief Operating Officer of The Lubrizol Corporation Building H, Room 101
Steve Kirk is currently chief operating officer (COO) of The Lubrizol Corporation. Throughout his 37 years at Lubrizol, Kirk has served in a variety of roles in process engineering, sales, marketing, and management in several company facilities, including European headquarters in London, England. He served as president of Lubrizol Additives from 2004 to 2008.
He serves on the board of directors of Robbins & Myers (NYSE), a supplier of equipment and systems for global energy, pharmaceutical and industrial markets. He is a director of Vocational Guidance Service, a Cleveland agency that “helps prepare people with barriers to employment for a brighter future.” In addition, Kirk is chair of the Visiting Board for the Nance College of Business Administration at Cleveland State University.
Kirk earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from Cornell University and a master’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University. He was awarded an honorary doctor of business from Cleveland State University in 2007.

Carole Sanderson, CFO/Partner with Herschman Architects in Cleveland
Carole Sanderson is the CFO/Partner with Herschman Architects in Cleveland. Celebrating its 35th year, Herschman Architects, with offices in Cleveland and Tucson, provides architectural, engineering and interior design services for retail, shopping center, commercial, and industrial clients. Under her leadership, the firm has received numerous local and national business, design and community service awards.
Since 1988, Sanderson has been an active member of the Society for Design Administration. She is currently serving as the national treasurer, has served on the national certification committee, and is a past six-year chapter president.
Sanderson’ many awards include: Athena Award finalist, 2008; Crain’s Business CFO of the Year, 2007; Crain’s Business 40 under 40 Business Leaders, 2000; Smart Business Magazine Perspective: Women in Business, 2007; Enterprising Women Magazine Enterprising Women of the Year, 2006; and Cleveland Magazine’s Most Interesting People, 2003. She has been published in Fortune Small Business, Real Simple, Enterprising Women, and Inside Business.
Sanderson earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baldwin-Wallace College and an Associate of Arts degree from Cuyahoga Community College. She is a past pro bowler and is an improving competitive tennis player.

Michael Millonzi, Director of Brand Initiatives for Lane Bryant
Michael Millonzi is the director of brand initiatives for Lane Bryant, the number one specialty retailer focused on plus-size women's apparel. Lane Bryant is a division of Charming Shoppes, with over 2300 retail locations including Fashion Bug, Catherine’s, and Lane Bryant/Petite Sophisticate Outlets. In his role, Millonzi is responsible for leading the long-term brand strategies aimed to strengthen the business and position it for sustained growth. His work aligns all functions of the retail organization, including merchandising, marketing, finance, and stores, to deliver holistic solutions to complex initiatives.
In 1993, Millonzi began his retail career with Victoria’s Secret Catalogue as a part-time sales consultant. After transferring to Victoria’s Secret Stores in 1994, Millonzi worked in the field organization in various managerial positions at many local malls including Great Lakes, Tower City and Southpark, before moving to Columbus in 1997. He obtained a home-office position at Victoria’s Secret in the Stores Operation group in 1998, where he worked on numerous store-focused initiatives leading many different departments. In 2006, Millonzi joined Lane Bryant, as director of store operations, driving the sales and operations functions of the over 800 store locations, until his recent appointment to director of brand initiatives.
During his retail tenure, Millonzi has worked on many ground-breaking initiatives that have been benchmarked as "best-in-class" throughout the industry. His passions lie in delivering exceptional customer experiences, as well as his commitment to developing talent. Millonzi has a strong legacy of talent, with many of his former associates holding home office managerial positions with various retailers.
Millonzi lives in Columbus and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from The Ohio State University. He has been a member of the United Way of Columbus Young Leadership Group since 2004, and has worked with various local charities, including Easter Seals of Columbus.
