The Lakeland Community College Job Shop Speaker Series program assists unemployed professionals or any active job seeker in finding employment. Meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of every month from 9-11 a.m. in room A-1044g on Lakeland’s campus, and feature some of the best employment experts in Northeast Ohio. All programs are free and open to the public and drop-ins are welcome.

“Making Yourself the Candidate of Choice” Presented by Hugh Fiebig, senior career coach with Career Curve. Fiebig will focus on things job seekers can do to separate themselves from the pack.

“Working with Search Firms and Recruiters” Presented by Giannoula Sarris, Staffing manager for StaffMatrix. Sarris will show how to effectively utilize job search firms and what to expect when dealing with a recruiter.

“Utilizing Your Job Search Engines to Their Fullest Potential” Presented by Shannon Cross, director of quality assurance and HR for Careerboard/JobServe, and Janice Worthington, president of Worthington Career Services. The duo will show how job seekers can get the most out of Internet resources to aid their job search.

“Communications Strategies for a Successful Interview” Presented by Phil Stella, president of Effective Training and Communication. Stella will reveal the right moves to make for a great interview.
